cramming tones

Élie   April 15th, 2009 10:42a.m.

Hello,

I noticed that once in a while I'll have like 5 or 6 tones-only characters in a row, and that goes real fast. But most of the time I get a more or less random mix.

Would it be possible to have an option to cram the tones together, so that you'd have 20 tones in a row for, and then only characters for example ?

I think this has been mentioned before, but it would also be nice to be able to ignore tones, mostly just on the radicals. Or on a per character basis would be great too.

When we get pinyin and definition practice, we'll definitely have to make streaks of the same type of prompt, to keep from switching keyboard and mouse too often. I don't think it'd be easy to make streaks of tone-only prompts with the current setup, because sometimes the characters get put in with the tones at the last minute because they're also ready to go.

The ignore button is soon due for resurrection in some form, and that'll let you get rid of the radical tones.
