New Content?

Hello,

I would like to know how often new content/features are added to Skritter.

I have been a user of Skritter for the past 2 years. There is a constant flow of new developments and improvements to the system. 2 years ago there was only writing and tones, no example sentences, no memnonics,no colors, no self grading buttons, inferior list system, etc. This product is being actively developed and so important if you are serious about studying Chinese. After having studied Chinese for 4 years (just in my free time) I knew about 600 characters and maybe 600 extra words (compounds), but I had trouble remembering them all and adding more characters only made the problem worse. I even bought a book with 1500 characters on little cards that you had to tear out so that you could use them as flashcards...Then I discovered skritter and it has done wonderful things for my motivation and retention of new characters. Counters are now at 2200+ for characters and 2400+ for compounds. I recently started reading my first novel in Chinese and reading simple stuff like e-mails from friends, blogs on the internet, etc. is really feasible now. So, go for it :-)

As what marchey said. There's also an iphone app being worked on at the moment.

So in answer, changes are pretty constant. And it's a super tool for learning, so give it a shot.

Thank you for the replies, I will take them into consideration. I was concerned by the tone of a different thread that updates aren't pushed out regularly.
