Looks like the Great Firewall or something like it is preventing you from completely loading www.skritter.com because it is hosted on Google App Engine, which is periodically blocked. Try instead our mirror:

legacy.skritter.cn

This might also be caused by an internet filter, such as SafeEyes. If you have such a filter installed, try adding appspot.com to the list of allowed domains.

Example sentences in the Android app?

Something that would help immensely would be the ability to see example sentences while studying! Sometimes when studying definitions I can have a hard time remembering definitions because I don't know how the word is used in a sentence. When studying Chinese in the university my teachers also often told us that the best way to remember words and what they mean is to think of them in a context. I hope this function will be added asap considering how important it is.

Sorry for the delay reply on this one. We do plan on adding example sentences into the Android. Originally we had it configuring so that the app would display the top rated sentence, but a good majority of these turned out to be fairly bad examples for studying the given character/word. If I can't think of a better solution soon I might enable them for now and just stick them in the information panel for reference.

I wouldn't mind seeing the top rated example sentence, it's almost always better than not having an example at all. I would be cool though if the app would display the sentence that was also selected on skritter.com, since it can happen that another example senten
