Problem pasting to a vocab list

GaryM   January 21st, 2012 9:22a.m.

I am trying to have create my own vocabulary list in Skritter. However, when I paste my list of characters into the box, the only entry that is properly dealt with is the first. All the other entries are just displayed below the first entry.

I have tried pasting from an Open Office text document, an Open Office Spreadsheet, and the standard Microsoft Notepad. All the results are the same. My original list looks like this (with one word per row);

电话

etc....

I have tried pasting using the "Paste" submenu by right-clicking to get a context menu on the box, and also tried just using ctrl V. The same problem arises each time. Just the first entry in the first row is dealt with. All the other entries are ignored.

I am using Windows 7.

Really, this should be trivial right?

Hey GaryM, sorry to hear about the bug. While we debug it, can you try on another browser so that we can confirm whether it's particular to the browser you're using?

GaryM   January 21st, 2012 9:12p.m.

Yes it seems to be related to the browser. I was originally using Explorer 9.0 under Windows 7 Home Premium when I had the problems. I have just tested it on a different computer running 8.0 under Windows 7 Home Premium, and it works fine.The Open Office spreadsheet file pastes without any problems. Thanks!

@GaryM: I can reproduce this. IE9 unhappily seems to be more buggy than IE8 in some respects; IE still seems to be behind the times even with all the improvements they've made lately. I've got that and a few other minor bugs to fix with that browser. Will work on it soon! Until then, you might want to try Chrome or Firefox, as those tend to be faster and not as prone to breaking.
