Looks like the Great Firewall or something like it is preventing you from completely loading www.skritter.com because it is hosted on Google App Engine, which is periodically blocked. Try instead our mirror:

legacy.skritter.cn

This might also be caused by an internet filter, such as SafeEyes. If you have such a filter installed, try adding appspot.com to the list of allowed domains.

hoenig / heisig books intermingled?

i am studying hoenig, and downloaded that book in to skritter. the definitions are correctly appearing, but the mnemonic clue that is there is usually from heisigs book (i think), as it does not match hoenigs.

i have been replacing a lot of these with my own, but of course its time consuming. any way around this?

The mnemonics are user submitted. They don't match Heisig either.

i see. the mnemonics dont match the meaning that hoenig has targeted, so i had guessed they were based on heisig's.

I can't find Hoenig in the Skritter lists. How did you get it?

Hoenig is listed under vocab lists -> Textbooks -> Chinese Characters (Hoenig)
