How to end a practice session?

jpo   April 6th, 2009 4:25p.m.

Each time I finish a practice session, I feel unsure how to stop. Should I stop right after completing a word/character? Or should I click "Next" to go on to the next character, and then abandon it before starting it?

The first option feels better, but it also feels to me like the results from that last character haven't been "recorded" until I hit the "Next" button.

I've wondered the same thing...

Yeah, you have to hit "next" before it'll record the word. It may have recorded some intermediate character / tone results, but the word-level prompts are only submitted when you go to the next word.

I don't think there's much we can do to change this, short of adding a "end practice" button (which couldn't even work instantaneously).

Thanks. No need to change it - I just wanted to understand how it worked.

Wow, I had no idea. This should be in the FAQ.

I think all sessions should be ended with a bottle of champagne
