RE: New Poll

Before I can answer, I want to be sure I know what "the practice page list viewer" is? Anybody?

It's a collapsible list of your Active Lists near the bottom of every practice page.

Below the "strictness" button, directly above the comment box.

Thanks for answering this Murrayjames, when writing the polls we have to save space so we couldn't include explanatory information.

The reason we're asking about it is to gauge whether people actually use it. We talked it over yesterday and in our base Scott was the only one who actually used the display regularly. Nick, Maksym, and I have always kept it collapsed and out of view.

Oh, that one is essential for me! I want to see how I eat my way up those thorny lists.

All I see there is "No lists selected."
Is that it?
How do I get something there?

murrayjames   August 14th, 2009 5:17p.m.

I didn't used to use the List Viewer, but I use it constantly now. For peeps who work through several lists concurrently, it allows you to prioritize as you monitor your progress, in real time.

I have about five lists going, plus the Queue. Often I'll pause my textbook lists if I feel I'm moving too quickly, and give vocab (or whatever else) a chance to catch up.

Thought that might be what the poll meant, but maybe the thing in the top left which shows which list the word is from, or maybe just the vocab "viewer" page... hehe... glad that is cleared up.

Yeah I use it all the time and would hate to see it go. Nice motivator just on big lists like HSK 1, but essential if wanting to move a chapter at a time on a textbook and especially if you work from multiple lists and want to pause from one or more frequently.
