I'm trying to create a list for the 2014 TOCFL (Taiwan version of HSK), but when I start adding word, quite a few can't be found in the dictionary. They are simple words like 出來.

Do I have to do anything special to create a word list directly from traditional characters?

These is some problem with your character 來. You can try using my version of 出來 by copy and pasting it into your list and see if it works.

Yes, a code point problem. Your 來 has code point U+F92D and mine is U+4F86. They are considered the same by the Taiwan MOE's dictionary, but Skritter thinks that they are different.

Your 來 is one of the characters contained in the “CJK Compatibility Ideographs” code block. Most characters within that block have problem with Skritter. I'm just aware of this problem and so is quick to find the problem.

Skritter should be smart enough to know their respective corresponding characters and automatically correct them.

So how did you generate the compatibility ideographs, lechuan? Chinese text input on iPad?

Cut and paste to notepad, saved as utf-8, opened as a space delimited file in excel.

Not a big deal though. I think the TOCFL list seems is based on, or at least strongly correlates to the the Practical Audio Visual Chinese textbook series, so I'm going to go through those first. And i found some user generated TOCFL Skritter lists.
