Where do I find info on challenges/contests?

Hi there! I'm new to Skritter (learning Japanese)and am thoroughly enjoying using it. Writing characters helps plant them firmly in my mind.

I've seen a few comments on Challenges in the Blog and was wondering where they are announced. Since I signed on, I'm not able to get to the original Home Page (I always go to my Study Page). Are the contests announced on the forums? Or on the original Home Page or on the blogs?

I'm thinking I might like to take part in one!

Hi Snowflake!

We announce the contests in the monthly newsletters, which go out on the 15th if you've got the "Receive site updates by email" box checked in your general account settings (you probably do).

After the last contest, wherein we gave away about a hundred Wacom tablets, we decided to wait a while before we do the next one so that we can give more meaningful rewards on the site to people without breaking the bank.

What's wrong with the home page that you can't access it?

Ahh on the 15th. That's probably why I haven't seen anything yet.

I couldn't see the original page because I stay logged in and hadn't logged out. As soon as I tried logging out, I could see the original page.

Thanks for the quick answer (I'm impressed!) and I'm looking forward to the next challenge, even if it's just for "I did it!!!" points :).
