Any Chinese Equivalent - They Might Be Giants Here Comes Scienc

atnatenshon   March 29th, 2012 12:52a.m.

Hi,

I was wondering if there were any Chinese Equivalents of They Might Be Giants, Here Comes Science, 123s, ABCs ? Ideally I am looking for fun educational songs in Chinese for little kids.

Thanks

Drew

Here Comes Science is an amazing album - I particular like the one about plasma where they tell you the last song was totally wrong :D

I'd love to know if there are any TMBG-like Chinese bands, not necessarily alike in educational content but in whimsy and artistry. Scott and I are both big fans. (George can't stand them.)

I'd like to know as well! I was a big fan of TMBG up until high school, but nowadays I consider them to be like Bob Dylan - phenomenal songwriters, atrocious singers.

两只老虎 liang zhi lao hu (two little tigers) is the only kids song I know, chinesepod have a newby podcast about it.

Love TMBG. Seeing as they're unique enough to seem incomparable to almost any other Western artist, can we expand the scope of this thread to more creative Chinese music in general? I'll start with Gemini Trip, who, with their downtempo, electronic instrumentation, kind of sound like a less inspired Air with soothing, lounge-esque female vocals.
