What all Pricing for App includes?

Can someone please shed light on whether long term subscription of app include full access to Japanese App as well ?
Also all the future features in the app in the next 2 years if some user opts for a 2 year sub ?

mcfarljw   June 15th, 2012 12:46a.m.

As long as you have an active subscription it should include full access and updates to Skritter (both Chinese and Japanese).

Mandarinboy   June 15th, 2012 12:48a.m.

That also includes full access to the site as well.

BohanBo   June 15th, 2012 1:48a.m.

@Mandarinboy
I read somewhere that subscription is required just to add words. What if some one takes a month long subscription and Adds all the most popular text book words and keep studying them for the next one year.
Will there be any issue with that? Can one choose which list to study at a time or does Skritter mixes up all the words and characters from different lists?

russell359   June 15th, 2012 1:57a.m.

@BohanBo

You can only study words that have already been added to your "my words" list. So you basically have to have already studied all those words at least once. Adding a list only adds it to your list of words ready to add to your "my words" list. So it would be pretty hard to add all the words from all those lists to your list of words that you have already studied ("my words"). I guess you could be sneaky about it, but then that'd be a matter for your conscience.

@russel359/@mandarinboy thanks.
Is there any sales tax as well for in app purchase? if yes how much? I wish to buy a two year long subscription. Can one pay with a Visa debit card by using Paypal ??

Mats   June 15th, 2012 2:06a.m.

Anony yes, I just hooked my Visa to Paypal.

scott   June 15th, 2012 1:33p.m.

@Anony: if you'd like to pay by Paypal, you can send it to me at scott@skritter.com with your username and I'll do that for you. Or you can purchase through the app. Since it's a service there's no sales tax for the subscription, though Apple may handle sales tax differently.

thanks Scott. Most probably I am buying an Ipad just for this soon and gonna pay a 2 year sub. This App is gonna cost me a bomb just because the new Ipad costs a bomb. For Skritter I think it will be worth it.

paddy665   June 16th, 2012 9:12a.m.

I find it amazing that anyone would buy an iPad just for the skritter app. Not that the app isn't amazing, I love it. But if that is the only reason you want an iPad maybe you'd be better off getting an ipod touch which does the same thing except cheaper and more mobile.

For the record I use skritter on my iPad and it is awesome, but I don't know if I would have bought my iPad solely for skritter.
