I had been a regular user of Skritter for a while until about a year ago or so. In the past I always used a Wacom Bamboo Pen tablet that I had bought specifically for using with Skritter and as I seem to remember it worked like a charm, I had no complaints.
Well life kind of got busy and I stopped using Skritter at all until about a few weeks ago when I started using the iOS app on my iPod touch during free time at work. I've even bought a capacitive stylus to use with it and it all works fantastically well!
Today I've gone and dusted off my old Wacom tablet to try using Skritter on my PC. I've changed all the necessary tablet settings as advised on the Skritter website, but I still seem to be having a problem. I can't write short strokes quickly! I have to take my time and write them carefully otherwise it won't register at all. This is very frustrating because I write quite fast and with the iOS app it detects my input almost every time without fail, no matter how quickly I write.
So my question is: is there something I'm not doing correctly with my Wacom tablet on Windows 8 that causes small strokes to not register when I write them quickly, or was it always like this? I could have sworn I was able to write short strokes very fast when I used it over a year ago, but perhaps my recent use of the iOS app has distorted my memory?
When I'm at home I kind of prefer the feeling of sitting at my desk using my Wacom tablet to use Skritter, but if this is a problem that can't be fixed I guess I'll just be using the iOS app for all situations!
