I have brought this up before, but I wanted to reiterate that I believe it would be extremely useful to save the Advanced study lists information.

That is, when in Advanced Study I pick 3 of my 20 lists to study, the program should "remember" the 3 lists. So, whether I quit the program, or it crashes, when I start Skritter again and am brought to my Choice of Study or Advanced Study, I do not have to go back into Advanced Study and again select the lists.

When I want to study for a few minutes here and there, this can be a real time saver.

I don't use advanced study, but even better would be able to save different setting under different names, and then you just select a previously saved setting.

Nomadwolf - I do not disagree- that functionality would be great. However, I imagine that is several more steps of coding -

It would be an interesting analysis of how many Skritter study sessions with over 100 characters are actually driven to completion. At least in my case, not many - where I am distracted with just daily stuff, calls coming in, open another app to take a picture. So I literally could be in and out of Skritter 20 times or more a day, where 90% of the time I have to go and reconfigure the lists. A.D.D.? probably.... reality? - definitely.

Its not that I can't have a long study session. I can and do. But these small periods of 5 and 10 minutes here and there across the day add up. And the need to reconfigure the lists is a hurdle.

I simply want is that, if I am in a study session, I NEVER abandon that session until I physically push the little arrow at the top of the screen that takes me back to the welcome screen. At this point, you can then choose what you study, just like you do now.

Put another way, when I restart Skritter - be it from a previous crash, shutting down the app in background due to memory limitations while running another app, or simply turning off my iOS device completely, that when I go back into the app, I am simply just thrust into the same study session.

What I describe above is the path of least resistance to studying.
That is: Press the Skritter icon; study; period.

I would not mind seeing that feature there too, although it is not extremely helpful for my study habits.

Honestly.. a nice feature would be a button to go back to the main menu from the Advanced Study menu. As for study method and remembering the lists, I usually go in surgery style and whip through a list because it has context. In the normal learning mode, I have maybe 4 lists going at a time including the one I add random stuff I find.

I just used advanced study to try studying a list. I had 300 reviews on my general studying, but after using advanced study my reviews on the regular study went to zero and I can't seem to sync it back, even though online it still shows the 300 reviews.
